New Breeding Engine!
Every Fawn stores a record of it's Parents, Grandparents, etc. in it's genetic background. Every single time you breed a Fawn, the outcome is based on what is in its background. We let anyone see these Family Trees on our
website. Fawns have a completely new breeding engine that is easy for breeders to pick up on.
Fawns have to be paired up with 1 Male and 1 Female, they do NOT need to have opposing personas (playful, naughty, bashful), but it enhances breeding if you make sure NOT to put the same persona paired together.
Fawns cannot be bred with a direct relative (dad/daughter, mom/son, bro/sis) which adds to the challenge of breeding.
To get started breeding, all you need is a non-related male Fawn and a female Fawn.
No Food Required!
Yes, you read that correctly. Fawns do not require food or any other consumable - EVER. We do offer a premium alternative to food known as "Ether", which does have its benefits, but if you ever get
short on L$ you will never have to get rid of Fawns due to food costs.
Tons of Content!
Fawns have Ear Traits, Tail Traits, Antler Traits, Coats, Eyes and more. Plus we'll be releasing new content every few months via our Fawns Packs, and this content won't solely be available to people who
decide to purchase Fawns Packs, but we'll include a small chance for older generations of Fawns to produce the new content - FOR FREE. We do however recommend to get in on the new content as soon as possible
if you want to stay on top of the game.
We often get people asking us "how much does the HUD cost?", well with Fawns it's completely free! In fact, the HUD is sort of a requirement when interacting
with Fawns. You can use it to control a Fawn individually, configure its options, view all of its information, have it race or duel, and so much more.
Web Market Listings
All Fawns that you want to put up for sale can be set to a frozen-animation state and be automatically listed to our marketplace for buying/selling Fawns. You don't have to use extra prims to list
to a marketplace, you simply adjust it's "toggle market" setting.
Low Prim / Land Impact
A baby Fawn is around 10 Land Impact (prims), and the biggest a fully grown, maximum sized Fawn will be is 12 Land Impact (prims). We used every trick in the book to make sure
our land impact is as minimal as possible, while still delivering a great looking 3D product.
If you decide to use Ether, you will earn additional FWN Points during breeding (your offspring logs will have 200 Points instead of the standard 50). FWN Points can be used in exchange for items such as homes, potions, and other Fawns accessories. FWN Points
can also be traded between breeders via our My Fawns portion of the website.
Before we were making breedables, we were making breedable accessories! This means that we have a direct understanding of what it's like to be a third-party developer making products for something like Fawns.
We will have APIs and other ways for third-party devs to create unique content for Fawns.
Up to 4 Fawns can line up and race down the track! Just rez your Fawn at a Fawns Race Track, and have your friends and/or foes rez their fawns, and get to racing. This game is entirely random, controlled by the Fawns
themselves, but you'll be sure to love the random actions they will do all the way down the track. One moment your Fawn is in the lead, the next they are flopping on the ground taking a breather. You never know who
You are able to battle your friends and foes on the arena floor. Simply rez one of your fawns on a Fawns Duel Arena, have your friend or foe to the same, and get to battling! If you want to try solo, pick up an
NPC Fawn which can be used for Dueling AND Racing. Our dueling is sort of like Rock, Paper, Scissors - it's easy for anyone to play.
Fawns are Immortal
Fawns never die, however they can get temporarily sick. Fawns will "Enter the Void" at the end of their breeding life or after they hit Age 41 (whichever comes first). To prevent this from happening you can use
a Stay Forever Potion at any time.
We have spent a lot of time on perfecting our animations for Fawns. We do our best to make the animations as smooth as possible in Second Life, making use of the most up-to-date
technologies that SL offers.
One of the cool features about Fawns is the "Controller" view on the HUD. You can call your Fawn over, have them sit, lay, stand, roll over, play dead, shake, and even chase a ball you throw at it! You will also notice various
animations between Fawns every so often.
Let's face it - most SL veterans don't use the default viewer. We will do our best to support every major viewer out there. (A viewer is the SL Client that you use to enter the world of Second Life.)
